Spokesperson of Montreal's Italian Week since 2015, Marco Calliari is truly engaged in the italian community. Founding member of the heavy metal band Anonymus, guitarist and singer Marco Calliari recorded a total of five studio albums with the Montreal band from 1989 to 2006. In 2003, he put his family roots on the album solo Che saw her. The singer-songwriter is inspired by Italian folklore that he rediscovered during a stay in the land of his ancestors. While participating in the tour L'Académie du massacre with Anonymus and Mononc 'Serge, he created in 2004 the Rital Fest. Then, in 2006, it increases with the opus Mia dolce vita, which gathers standards as well as contemporary pieces of the Italian repertoire. From 2007 to 2009, the iconoclast Calliari teamed up with Yves Lambert to present Du reel au tarentelle, a show presented in the holiday season. The album Al Faro is released in 2010, followed by Mi ricordo three years later and One Night in 2016. Marco Calliari proudly sings his origins: His music is an ode to Italian folklore that he modernizes as he pleases.
