Montreal, July 25th 2007 – The 2007 edition of Montreal’s Italian Week presents a night of sidesplitting laughs, when four comedians grace the stage with their dynamic personalities and eccentric humor. On August 8th, the Mirella and Lino Saputo Theater will be bubbling with laughter, when Montreal’s own Franco Taddeo shares the spotlight with Cesare Casciato, Daniel Tirado, and Derek Séguin, as they bring you an evening of explosive humor with an Italian twist.
Join Italian - Canadian comedian Franco Taddeo as he muses about those things that have him confused: life, love – and society in general. After performing on stages across the country, it is clear that Franco is one of the brightest stars on the comedy circuit.
Also joining the group are Daniel Tirado and Derek Séguin, both veterans of the Just for Laughs festival. Daniel, having grown up in Montreal, never fails to find the humor in his surroundings. His acting background contributes to his stage presence, as he brings to life such characters as Tony Mambotana, a sleazy Cuban dance instructor. From the Best Italian Comics tour, Cesare Casciato completes this Italian comedic force, as they impart their unique and hilarious take on Italian-Canadian culture.
Comedy Night takes place Wednesday August 8th, at 8:00 pm, at the Mirella & Lino Saputo Theatre (8370 boul. Lacordaire). Tickets cost $30. For more information call (514) 279 – 6357 or (514) 955 – 8370.
