Montreal, July 26, 2007- Montreal’s Italian Week invites you to discover the way of life that makes Italy what it is. From August 5th to the 12th, the cultural landscape of the Italian lifestyle incites the City of Montreal to uncover the splendour and intricacy of la dolce vita.
The 14th edition of Montreal’s Italian Week, presented by Loto-Québec, incorporates a uniquely Sicilian flavour into its 2007 programming; a reconstruction of the Monreale Gardens, a typical caretto siciliano and Sicilian dishes offered at participating restaurants will make Montreal’s Italian Week authentic to the taste, aromas and spice of this notorious Italian Island.
The Italian way of food, wine and the sumptuous appetite for life that make up the unique flavours of this culture come alive during Montreal’s Italian Week. Come undone and experience the enchanting world of Italian-Canadian fashion, the opulence of Italian food and wine, the rhythm of Italian-Canadian artists and the magic and magnificence of Italian opera.
“Montreal’s Italian Week permits one and all to participate and appreciate the multiple facettes of Italian culture; Art, Gastronomy, Modern and Classical Music, Comedy, History and so much more.” Antonio Sciascia, President of The National Congress of Italian Canadians, encourages Montreal to revel in the passion, intensity and zest of this pulsating community as they celebrate in true Italian style. For one week in August, everyone is Italian!
