Montreal, August 1st , 2008- 2008 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Puccini, and one year of the passing of the great Luciano Pavarotti, both of which will be commemorated during the presentation of La Bohème as part of the activities of
La Bohème, considered amongst the most popular operas, is a heart breaking love story ending in tragedy, that will leave spectators in emotional peril as they follow the story of the poet Rodolfo and his ill neighbour Mimi. Mimi’s struggle to survive and Rodolfo’s desperate love evoke nothing but tears, sorrow and desperation.
The cast’s undeniable talent will do nothing short of draw the crowd into the dramatic ambiance of this brilliant piece conducted by Maestro Rafaelle Ponti.
